A full evaluation of the existing surface conditions is conducted as the first step in achieving long-term durability.  Once a thorough understanding of the long-term requirements of the new finish is established, the MRI Certified Coating Specialist will draft a copy of the specifications.  At this point, a meeting will be held with the project managers to assure all requirements are met and special conditions are acknowledged.  The entire project will be coordinated with the facility owners and occupants to meet their expectations.  MRI will then provide the expert applicators to insure the most productive and safest working environment.

MRI equips every crew with the necessary quality testing equipment to be used daily during coating application.  Daily field reports give precise weather conditions, surface conditions, coating thickness, and the coating's workability under the given parameters.  This information is used to maintain high quality application to assure long term durability.

Once the project is completed, the job is only beginning for MRI: a team of field inspectors perform annual evaluations of applied coating systems in an ongoing investigation to determine the system's life cycle.  The results collectively provide a direction for MRI's pursuit of the highest quality coating systems for the customer's benefit of maximum performance.

Until recently, field coatings were not manufactured specifically with the metal building industry in mind.  MRI took on the task of maintaining constant research of coatings and their ability to provide economical and durable solutions while remaining aesthetically pleasing for the life of the coating.  With the new VOC requirements, MRI is at the forefront of testing and perfecting the application of sophisticated fluoropolymers, urethanes, and acrylics.  In many cases, coating manufacturers give MRI the advantage during the research stage of a new product to finesse and perfect the spraying capabilities of the final product.  MRI also develops and perfects new surface preparation techniques on today's complex substrates to accept the newly engineered coatings.
